Historic Treble Winner, Kamara, Departs East End Lions for National Duty

Head Coach Mohamed Lamin Kamara concludes his landmark tenure at East End Lions, leaving the club after securing an unprecedented domestic treble.

Since his appointment in July 2024, Kamara orchestrated a tactical revolution for "The Killers." Under his leadership, the club swept the Community Shield (Unity Cup), the Leone Rock Premier League, and the FA Cup.

This feat cements his status as a premier strategist, joining John Keister as one of only two active Sierra Leonean coaches to hold all three major domestic honors simultaneously.

In a poignant farewell, Kamara lauded the club as a "family," extending gratitude to the management and the fans whose "unwavering support" fueled the team’s historic run.

Kamara’s impact is perhaps best defined by the FA Cup victory—the club’s first since 1989. While calling for continued unity among supporters, the outgoing manager emphasized that he leaves behind a squad primed for future success.

“I am answering a national call to serve Sierra Leonean football,”

Kamara stated, indicating a transition into a broader role within the country's sporting infrastructure. He expressed full confidence that his successor would inherit a "strong foundation."

Kamara leaves as one of the most decorated coaches in the club's modern era, having restored East End Lions to the pinnacle of the national game. 

His departure marks the end of a dominant chapter and the beginning of a high-stakes journey on the national stage.
