Human Carburetpr Kaikai Awards Scholarships to 20 Vulnerable Pupils in Pujehun

Philanthropist and community development advocate Patrick Ansu Kaikai, popularly known as the Human Carburetor, has supported 20 vulnerable pupils in Pujehun District through his scholarship scheme, providing NLe 1,200 to each beneficiary to assist with their educational needs.

The money was presented to the beneficiaries during a ceremony held at Pujehun Court Barry, which brought together the pupils and their parents, local authorities, media representatives and other members of the public.

Speaking to Radio Wanjei, Sheku Soko Tarawally, Chairman of the Patrick Ansu Carburetor Kaikai Scholarship Scheme, said the initiative is aimed at supporting vulnerable pupils facing difficulties in meeting some of the basic costs associated with attending school.

Soko said the beneficiaries were selected as part of efforts to promote access to education and reduce financial barriers affecting disadvantaged children in Pujehun Township.

According to Abu Bakarr Salam Mustapha, Secretary of the scholarship scheme, the beneficiaries were selected last year based on merit from St. Paul Secondary School, Holy Rosary Secondary School, St. Stephen’s Technical and Vocational Secondary School, Government Secondary School Massam, and Ahmadiyya Secondary School in Pujehun.

Speaking via WhatsApp video during the presentation, Kaikai said the scholarship scheme forms part of his commitment to supporting education and helping vulnerable children remain in school.

He encouraged the beneficiaries to take their studies seriously and make good use of the assistance provided.

Parents and guardians of the beneficiaries expressed appreciation for the support, saying such assistance could help ease financial pressure on families and encourage children to continue their education.

The beneficiaries also thanked Kaikai for the support and pledged to remain committed to their studies.

The presentation of NLe 1,200 to each of the 20 beneficiaries brought the ceremony to a close.
