‘I’m a Working Manifesto’ - Jagaban Declares, Pitches Different Approach to Politics

All People’s Congress (APC) presidential flagbearer aspirant Mohamed Omodu Kamara, popularly known as Jagaban, has said Sierra Leone needs a different approach to politics, focused on practical action and results rather than repeated promises.
Speaking on AYV TV during his first sit-down interview with journalist Umaru Fofana, Jagaban said many Sierra Leoneans are tired of politicians making promises without delivering meaningful results.
“I came with a different type of politics,” he said, stressing his belief in “doing the work” rather than simply talking about it.
Jagaban said his personal journey, including building his career after travelling to London, shaped his belief in creating opportunities through hard work rather than waiting for others.
He also criticised politicians who, he said, prioritise themselves over ordinary citizens, arguing that the support he is receiving is largely based on what people have seen him accomplish.
When asked about his manifesto, Jagaban described himself as an example of the type of leadership he wants to promote.
“I’m a working manifesto,” he said.
He pointed to his business activities and investment in Sierra Leone’s transport sector, saying 25 buses have already been brought into the country, with plans to increase the number to 100.
Jagaban said the investment would contribute to economic activity and transportation, maintaining that his political philosophy is centred on action, vision and results.
He said Sierra Leone needs leaders who understand what must be done and are prepared to work seriously to move the country forward.
