Sierra Leonean music icon and industry "Godfather" Jimmy Bangura (Jimmy B) has exclusively to us, commended the voluntary resignation of Milton Koker, known as Colabo, from his presidency of the All Stars Association.
Jimmy B characterized the move as a selfless contribution to the industry's maturation, stating, “Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's.”
Following Colabo’s graceful departure, the Union of Musicians All Stars Sierra Leone has transitioned into a formal reform phase. Leadership oversight has been temporarily assumed by the Elders Council, a body comprising senior industry veterans. This transition ensures institutional continuity while the organization maps out a path toward professional governance.
A strategic Position Paper, circulated on 6 February 2026, has garnered majority support from key stakeholders and Grand Patrons. This mandates the Elders Council to supervise the creation of a Reform Committee, which will act as an Interim Executive. The objective is to establish transparent, democratically elected leadership structures that enhance accountability within the sector.
The Union has directed all official communications to the Elders Council during this period of restructuring, signaling a new era of professional governance and strategic development for Sierra Leonean music.
