Information Minister and Resident Ambassador Meet to Strengthen Bilateral Ties

The Minister of Information and Civic Education, Honourable Chernor Bah, recently paid a courtesy visit to the resident Ambassador at the local embassy to discuss strengthening bilateral relations and expanding strategic partnerships.
The diplomatic engagement offered an opportunity to reinforce longstanding ties while exploring new avenues of cooperation in key sectors, including technology, culture, and economic investment.
During the meeting, Minister Bah expressed deep appreciation for the ongoing support and partnership extended by the embassy over the years. He commended the diplomatic mission for its contributions to various local development initiatives.
Highlighting future prospects, Minister Bah emphasized the government's commitment to deepening collaboration across public broadcasting, cultural heritage, and emerging technologies, particularly Artificial Intelligence.
To formalize these initiatives, the Minister proposed establishing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The proposed agreement aims to create a structured framework for sustained technical collaboration, media exchanges, and shared cultural programming.
In addition to technological and cultural cooperation, discussions focused on economic development. Minister Bah outlined key local investment opportunities, encouraging greater engagement with international investors to boost national growth.
The Ambassador welcomed the Minister and reaffirmed his commitment to maintaining close cooperation. He acknowledged the essential role of the Ministry of Information and Civic Education in fostering public engagement and advancing national priorities.
