Jagaban Announces Landmark SLE 1M College Endowment

Sheikh Alhaji Mohamed “Omodu” Kamara, popularly known as Jagaban, has announced a significant Le 1 Billion endowment to support ADKAN College of Management and Technology. The announcement was made during the institution's 10th Annual Graduation and Matriculation Ceremony on Saturday, April 4, 2026, where Jagaban presided as the Guest of Honour.
The comprehensive support package is structured to address critical areas of the college's operations and infrastructure:
Le 300 million dedicated to student scholarship programs;
Le 200 million allocated for the enhancement of faculty compensation; and
Le 500 million earmarked for infrastructural expansion and modernization.
The ceremony, chaired by Hon. Ben Alpha Mansaray, brought together students, faculty, and key stakeholders to celebrate the academic achievements of the Class of 2026.
Hon. Abu Bakarr Fofanah Esq., Head of Administration at ADKAN College, expressed profound gratitude for the donation, noting that it will significantly bolster the college's mission to provide quality education despite resource constraints.
In his keynote address, Jagaban commended the graduates for their perseverance and urged them to apply their knowledge as a catalyst for societal progress. He underscored that education is most valuable when translated into meaningful service to the nation. Reflected on his personal journey, he also reiterated his commitment to sustainable national development and his aspiration to lead Sierra Leone toward a more prosperous future.
This philanthropic commitment highlights a strategic focus on empowering the youth and strengthening the educational foundation of Sierra Leone, ensuring long-term institutional growth and academic excellence.
