Joint Security Forces Intercept Tramadol Shipment at Wanjama Checkpoint

On Thursday, May 14, 2026, at approximately 12:30 hours, a coordinated deployment of security personnel, including officers from the Sierra Leone Police and military forces, at the Wanjama checkpoint successfully intercepted a motorcycle operator.
The individual, identified as Ansumana Kanneh of 18 Koromba Lane, Blama Town, Small Bo Chiefdom, Kenema Division, was found to be in possession of one hundred tablets of tramadol.
The suspect was immediately apprehended upon discovery of the substance, and the illicit drugs were seized as evidence for subsequent investigation. The case has been officially transferred to the Kenema Police Station, and all relevant police authorities have been formally notified.
