Kenema Police Arrest Suspect, Seize Suspected Kush in “Clean Slate” Operation

A targeted police operation in Kenema has led to the arrest of a local man and the seizure of suspected illegal drugs.
On Wednesday, 18 February 2026, at approximately 20:30 hours, officers from the Kenema Police Division, led by Operations Officer Inspector Mohamed S. Conteh, carried out a proactive operation code-named “Clean Slate” at Borbu Junction.
During the operation, a suspect known as Daddy Sandy, a resident of the area, was apprehended. Police recovered twenty-five (25) wraps of a dried leaf substance believed to be Kush.
The suspect and the seized items were handed over to the Transnational Organized Crime Unit (TOCU) in Kenema for further investigation and appropriate legal action. Police officials said the operation is part of ongoing efforts to combat drug-related activities within the division.
