Kenema Police Conduct Visibility Operation to Strengthen Public Safety

The Local Unit Commander (LUC) of the Kenema Police Division, Chief Superintendent Emmanuel Kpulun, has on 23rd March 2026 led a robust police visibility operation across Kenema City aimed at enhancing public confidence and improving security.

During a briefing held at the police parade ground, Chief Superintendent Kpulun addressed officers, urging them to remain vigilant, disciplined, and professional in the discharge of their duties. He emphasized that maintaining law and order requires constant alertness, dedication, and a strong sense of responsibility.

He further noted that the presence of police officers in public spaces should inspire confidence among citizens, encouraging personnel to carry out their duties with integrity and commitment to public service.

Following the briefing, strategic deployments were carried out across key areas of the city, including major commercial centers, traffic-congested zones, and other identified security hotspots requiring heightened police presence.

The initiative forms part of ongoing efforts by the Kenema Police Division to prevent crime, strengthen public safety, and enhance cooperation between the police and the community.

Residents in parts of the city welcomed the increased visibility, describing it as a strong deterrent to criminal activity and a reassuring step toward maintaining peace and order.

Chief Superintendent Kpulun’s leadership has been highlighted as part of a broader commitment to community-oriented policing, with authorities reiterating that the safety and well-being of residents remain a top priority.

The police have also urged members of the public to cooperate with security personnel and promptly report any suspicious activities, stressing that collective vigilance is essential to sustaining peace and security in Kenema City.
