Legal Counsel Drucil Taylor receives historic appointment to CAF Disciplinary Board

FIFA Council and CAF Executive Committee Member, Isha Johansen, today extended her heartfelt congratulations to Legal Counsel Drucil Taylor on his historic appointment to serve on the CAF Disciplinary Board.

“This is a momentous occasion for Sierra Leonean football,” said Johansen. “Drucil Taylor’s appointment is a testament to his dedication, expertise, and unwavering commitment to upholding the highest standards of integrity and fair play in African football.”

Drucil Taylor, a seasoned legal practitioner with a deep understanding of sports law, brings a wealth of experience to the CAF Disciplinary Board. He has previously served as Legal Counsel to the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) and has represented the country in various international legal matters.

“I am confident that Drucil Taylor will make a significant contribution to the CAF Disciplinary Board,” Johansen added. “His appointment is a source of immense pride for our nation and a reflection of the progress we have made in developing and promoting Sierra Leonean talent in the world of football.”

The CAF Disciplinary Board is responsible for adjudicating disciplinary cases arising from CAF competitions, ensuring that the principles of fair play and sportsmanship are upheld. Taylor’s appointment is a significant step forward for Sierra Leonean football and further reinforces the country’s growing presence on the African football scene.

Taylor becomes one among a short list of Sierra Leoneans to be appointed in the CAF disciplinary Committee following Dr. Abdul Rahman Swaray, late Justice Tolla Thompson who served in the CAF statute Committee and former SLFA General Secretary, Alimu Bah who served in the CAF Appeals Committee.
