Leone Stars Begin Training in Morocco Ahead of Zimbabwe AFCON Qualifier

Sierra Leone’s Leone Stars have commenced their first official training session in Morocco as preparations continue ahead of their opening TotalEnergies AFCON 2027 qualifier against Zimbabwe.

The national team held a focused training session as the players and technical team stepped up preparations for Thursday’s fixture in El Jadida.

The session allowed the technical team to work with the players on their tactical approach, team shape and other aspects of match preparation as Leone Stars aim to make a positive start to their AFCON 2027 qualifying campaign.

Sierra Leone will face Zimbabwe on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at the Ben M’Hamed Stadium in El Jadida, Morocco.

With the fixture approaching, the Leone Stars will continue their preparations in Morocco as they look to be ready for the opening qualifier.
