The Leone Stars held their first training session at the Estadio Lino Correia in Bissau on Saturday, September 11, 2023, in preparation for their final Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against Guinea-Bissau on Monday, September 11.
The session was open to the media and was attended by a number of the foreign-based players, including Amadou Bakayoko, Augustus Kargbo, Emmanuel Samadia, Augustine Williams, and Alhassan Koroma.
The players worked on a variety of drills, including possession, passing, and finishing. They also did some set-piece work. John Keister, the Leone Stars coach, was present for the session and gave the players some instructions.
It will be a tough test for the Leone Stars, but they will be hoping to get a positive result, despite the fact that their chances of qualifying are slim to none.
