Mariyam Konneh Arrives in Vietnam as Miss World 2026 Journey Begins

Miss World Sierra Leone 2026, Mariyam Lorba Konneh, has arrived in Vietnam as she begins her journey to represent Sierra Leone at the global Miss World competition.

Konneh arrived in Vietnam after a long-haul journey, proudly carrying the Sierra Leone flag as she joined beauty queens from around the world participating in activities marking the 75th anniversary of Miss World.

Her arrival marks the beginning of an important chapter in her Miss World journey, with celebrations getting underway in Ha Long Bay, Quảng Ninh Province, where the Miss World 75th Anniversary Festival is being held.

Speaking after her arrival, Konneh expressed gratitude to God and everyone supporting her journey, including her family, friends, the Miss Sierra Leone Board, and the people and Government of Sierra Leone.

“I feel proud and grateful to be able to represent my beautiful country, Sierra Leone, on this Miss World stage,” Konneh said.

She also thanked supporters for their prayers and encouragement, describing her participation as an opportunity to proudly showcase Sierra Leone on the international stage.

Konneh’s participation at Miss World 2026 has generated excitement among Sierra Leoneans as she carries the nation’s green, white and blue flag into the global competition.

The Miss World programme will feature a series of activities and engagements as contestants compete for the prestigious international crown.
