Missing Finance Officer Found Dead, Wife Apprehended

The Ndomakeh Federation and residents of Daru in Jawei Chiefdom, Kailahun District, have confirmed the death of former Finance Officer Sallu Moina Kanneh, who was reported missing last week.
According to sources, Kanneh left his home in Daru around 5:00 a.m. on 11 March 2026 to attend early morning prayers but did not return. His unexplained absence had raised alarm among family members and community leaders, prompting a search.
Tragically, Kanneh was later discovered in a village called Massahun River. Reports indicate that parts of his body were missing, raising serious concerns about the circumstances surrounding his death.
In connection with the investigation, Kanneh’s wife has reportedly been apprehended, although authorities have not disclosed the reason for her detention.
The Sierra Leone Police are appealing to members of the public to provide any information that could help uncover the cause of Kanneh’s death. Authorities have emphasized the importance of community cooperation in resolving the case.
The investigation is ongoing as police work alongside family and local leaders to determine the events that led to this tragic incident.
Since the arrival of some of these foreign night clubs, restaurants and bars, people has just been disappearing into thin air. And in most cases, those bodies that are fortunate to found, their body parts must be missing. Government really need to look into this with an immediate action oh, else, we are doomed.
