MoCTI Launches Website Management Training Program

The Ministry of Communication, Technology and Innovation (MoCTI) has commenced the first phase of its Website Management and Security Training for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) officers across Sierra Leonean Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).
This initiative forms part of the Ministry’s Website Standardisation Framework, which aims to unify design, branding, and security across government platforms to ensure citizens can easily identify official channels and access public information.
Under the new framework, all MDA websites will transition to shared technical standards and consolidate under the gov.sl infrastructure. While MoCTI will build, host, and maintain overall security for the centralized platform, designated ICT officers within each institution will assume direct responsibility for managing and updating their respective sites.
Organised by the Directorate of Technology at MoCTI, the intensive two-day training offers hands-on, step-by-step instruction in content management and protection against cyber threats. Future phases of the program will expand to include additional ICT officers as the standardisation framework rolls out nationwide.
