New Public Transportation Fares Announced

The Sierra Leonean public has been notified of a significant development in the transport sector, following the increment of prices of fuel, with petrol, diesel, and kerosene costs rising from NLe25.00 to NLe30.00 per litre.

The Ministry of Transport and Aviation, in collaboration with the Motor Drivers Union and other key stakeholders from the Transport Sector, upgraded the point to point fares for vehicles plying Freetown, across the country, as well as sea transport fares.

These calculated adjustments will take effect across various transportation services, beginning on Wednesday, August 30, 2023.
