Njaluahun Chiefdom Hosts Successful Sectional Gala, Donates Sports Equipment

The Njaluahun Chiefdom Sectional Gala, organized by the Njaluahun Chiefdom Football Committee (Njafcom), concluded successfully with a donation of footballs and jerseys to participating Sections, reinforcing efforts to promote unity, youth engagement, and community development through sport.

The sporting event brought together young people from different Sections of the Chiefdom, fostering peaceful competition and strengthening social ties. At the end of the tournament, organizers presented footballs and jerseys to the participating teams as part of efforts to encourage continued participation in sports activities.

According to organizers, the donation is aimed at motivating young athletes and addressing the lack of basic sporting equipment in many communities. They noted that access to footballs and jerseys would enable teams to continue training and organizing matches beyond the gala.

Community members described the gala as more than a competition, highlighting its role in promoting teamwork, discipline, and mutual respect among youths. The event also provided a platform for interaction across Sections, setting aside differences in age, background, and status.

Njafcom emphasized that sports remain a powerful tool for social cohesion and youth development, adding that similar initiatives would continue to be used to encourage unity, positive engagement, and collective community action within Njaluahun Chiefdom.
