Noble Squad Welcomes ACP Joe Kamanda Bongay as Eastern Region Commander

In a warm and celebratory atmosphere, Squad R1 2002, popularly known as the “Noble Squad” Eastern Region branch, gathered at the Regional Headquarters to welcome their squad member, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Joe Kamanda Bongay, following his recent appointment as Police Regional Commander for the Eastern Region.
The reception, held at the office of the Regional Commander, brought together senior officers and members of the Sierra Leone Police, including Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Emmanuel Kpulun, Local Unit Commander of Kenema Division. The event also coincided with the squad’s anniversary celebration, highlighting years of unity, discipline, and professional camaraderie among its members.
The Noble Squad initiative is widely regarded within the Sierra Leone Police as a model of teamwork and cohesion, setting standards for professionalism and mutual support across divisions in the force.
Addressing colleagues at the gathering, ACP Bongay expressed appreciation for the warm reception and reaffirmed his commitment to collaborative leadership in his new role. He emphasized the importance of unity and teamwork in achieving operational success. “Together, we achieve more,” he stated, underscoring his vision for strengthened institutional cooperation in the Eastern Region.
The ceremony concluded with the exchange of gifts and goodwill messages, further reinforcing the bonds of loyalty, professionalism, and mutual respect that define the Noble Squad.
