A targeted night patrol by the Sierra Leone Police in Kenema Division on September 12, 2025, resulted in the significant arrest of a notorious drug dealer known as Seppeh, a resident of the IDA community.

The operation, led by Local Unit Commander (LUC) Chief Superintendent Bob Musa Nazlic Mansaray, also led to the dismantling of an illegal structure suspected of being a hub for drug-related activities.

During the raid, authorities seized 200 wraps of suspected Kush, four parcels of dried leaves believed to be Cannabis, and other unlawful items.

Seppeh's arrest was met with widespread jubilation from IDA community residents, who expressed profound relief and gratitude to the police. Many community members described the suspect as a long-standing menace, accusing him of destroying the lives and futures of their children through illegal drug distribution.

The suspect and all seized exhibits are currently in police custody as investigations continue. The Sierra Leone Police has reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to maintaining law and order and ensuring that drug traffickers and other criminal elements are brought to justice.

The public will be kept informed as the investigation progresses.
