Police Launch “Operation Safe Street” to Tackle Drug-Related Crimes in Kenema

The Sierra Leone Police in the Kenema Division, under the leadership of Chief Superintendent Bob Musa Mansaray, have launched Operation Safe Street a targeted crackdown on drug-related activities within the city.

The operation aims to identify and dismantle illegal drug networks involved in the sale and possession of narcotics. So far, the team has successfully disrupted several well-organized setups strategically located across key areas in Kenema. A significant number of suspects have been arrested, and a large quantity of illicit substances and related exhibits seized.

Police sources confirmed that investigations are ongoing and that the operation will continue until law and order are fully restored, making drug trafficking and abuse a high-risk undertaking in Kenema City.

The Sierra Leone Police have assured the public of their commitment to maintaining peace and security, adding that further details and pictorial evidence will be shared as the exercise progresses.
