Ports Authority FC endured another frustrating afternoon in the ongoing Leone Rock Premier League after conceding a two-goal advantage to settle for a 2–2 draw against Freetown City FC in Week 16.
Playing on home soil, Ports Authority began the encounter with confidence and control, dominating much of the first half. Their early pressure paid off in the 24th minute when Papay G. Mansaray (#20) broke the deadlock with a well-taken finish, sending the home supporters into celebration.
The hosts continued to dictate the tempo and doubled their lead just before halftime. Mohamed Sannoh (#18) found the back of the net in the 42nd minute, giving Ports Authority a comfortable 2–0 cushion heading into the break and appearing firmly in control of the contest.
However, the complexion of the match changed dramatically after the restart. Freetown City responded with renewed urgency, and their persistence yielded results in the 48th minute when Alhassan Sillah (#6) pulled one back to narrow the deficit.
The goal shifted momentum in favor of the visitors, who mounted sustained pressure in search of an equaliser. Their efforts were rewarded in the 77th minute when Hindovel Tucker (#9) struck to level the score, completing the comeback and silencing the home crowd.
The result marks another instance in which Ports Authority have struggled to maintain a commanding lead, raising concerns over their defensive resilience and game management. Despite a dominant first-half display, the failure to secure maximum points leaves the hosts with more questions than answers as the league campaign progresses.
