President Julius Maada Bio of Sierra Leone has officially inaugurated the new headquarters of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Commission. The ceremony, held Thursday, July 2, 2026, marks a pivotal development in the regional bloc's ongoing efforts to enhance integration and governance across West Africa.
Serving in his capacity as the Chairman of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government, President Bio unveiled the facility, describing it as a landmark project for the organization.
