President Julius Maada Bio joined Muslim worshippers at State Lodge in observance of Eid-Ul-Adha, with prayers and reflections centered on faith, compassion, and sacrifice.
In a message shared after the observance, President Bio expressed gratitude for the opportunity to pray alongside Muslims during the important Islamic celebration.
“I was honoured to pray alongside our Muslim brothers and sisters at State Lodge in observance of Eid-Ul-Adha,” the President said.
He noted that the sermon delivered during the service served as a powerful reminder of the shared responsibility to uphold faith in Allah, demonstrate compassion, and embrace sacrifice in daily life.
President Bio further encouraged Sierra Leoneans to continue drawing strength from their faith and unity, while extending Eid greetings to Muslims across the country and beyond.
“May we continue to draw strength from our faith and from each other. I wish you all a blessed and joyful Eid-Ul-Adha,” he added.
Eid-Ul-Adha, also known as the Festival of Sacrifice, is one of the most significant Islamic celebrations, observed globally through prayers, charity, and acts of devotion.
