Principal of Dorwailai Comprehensive Secondary School Resigns Amid Dispute

The Principal of Dorwailai Comprehensive Secondary School in Kenema, Mrs. Margaret Amara, popularly known among students as “Mummy Amara,” has officially resigned from her position.

Mrs. Amara, who led the school from 2021 to 2025, is widely recognized for her dedication and significant contributions to the development of the institution during her tenure. In an interview with Hard Tok Network, Mrs. Amara explained that her resignation was not a decision she took lightly, but the result of a misunderstanding with the school proprietor. She alleged that her concerns were not properly understood and raised issues over her December salary, which she claimed has been withheld.

“For the sake of my peace of mind and to avoid further conflict, I decided to resign,” Mrs. Amara said.

At this time, it remains unclear whether Mrs. Amara will return to the school in any capacity, as she has not confirmed her future plans.

The resignation of Mrs. Amara marks the end of a notable period in the history of Dorwailai Comprehensive Secondary School, and the school community awaits further developments regarding her successor.
