Referee Agnes Gbla Officiates WAFU-A U-17 Opener

Sierra Leonean FIFA-badge Assistant Referee Agnes Abdul Gbla officiated the opening match of the WAFU-A U-17 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers in Senegal on Monday.
Gbla served as Assistant Referee One during the tournament opener between hosts Senegal and Mauritania, forming part of the officiating team for the regional encounter.
Her appointment gives the Sierra Leonean official another opportunity to officiate at an international competition and represent the country on the regional football stage.
Gbla’s involvement also adds to the participation of Sierra Leonean match officials in WAFU-A and CAF competitions, reflecting the presence of the country’s refereeing personnel in regional and international football.
The WAFU-A U-17 AFCON qualifiers are continuing in Senegal, with participating teams competing for places in the next stage of the continental competition.
