Fire In Kenema, Displaces Residents

A fire has severely damaged a two-apartment residential building located at 37 Febelalo Street in Kenema, rendering the occupants homeless.

Steven Pujeh, a resident, reported that the blaze originated in one of the apartments and rapidly engulfed the entire structure, resulting in the destruction of property valued at millions of Leones.

While the cause of the fire remains under investigation, Pujeh noted that the Fire Force's arrival was reactive. However, he commended the neighbors for their prompt assistance, which successfully prevented the fire from spreading to adjacent properties.

Another resident, Mohamed P. Koroma, confirmed that there were no occupants inside the house at the time of the fire, thankfully resulting in zero casualties.

Madam Jeneba Smith, the landlord, expressed her distress over the incident and has issued an urgent appeal to humanitarian organizations and government agencies for assistance in the wake of the loss of their homes.
