Two prominent young talents from Rising Queens FC have been officially selected for the Sierra Leone U-17 Women’s National Team. This call-up comes in preparation for the upcoming FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers, scheduled for April 2026.


Cecilia S. Bangura and Maseray Turay earned their positions following a series of consistent, high-level performances in the Marampa Mines Women’s Premier League. Their selection underscores their significant technical contributions and growing influence within their club.

Bangura has distinguished herself as a composed and creative playmaker, demonstrating exceptional vision through key goals and assists throughout the current season.


Turay has emerged as a formidable offensive threat, characterized by her clinical finishing and physical presence. Her ability to consistently convert scoring opportunities has made her one of the most impactful attackers in the league.


The inclusion of these athletes in the national squad highlights the advancing caliber of youth women’s football in Sierra Leone. Both players are now poised to represent their country and compete on the international stage.
