Rodney Strasser Represents Sierra Leone at Best of Africa Awards

Former Sierra Leone international and ex-AC Milan midfielder Rodney Strasser has expressed his delight at being part of the Best of Africa (BOF) Awards, a prestigious event that celebrates African and Caribbean excellence.

Strasser described his participation as a great honour, emphasizing the unity and shared spirit among Africans and Caribbeans gathered at the event.

“It is such an honour to be part of this great occasion to see Africans and Caribbeans come together on one field, under one spirit,” Strasser said. “All around the world, our people are doing incredible things leading, creating, inspiring, and breaking barriers. To be part of the Best of Africa Awards is a true privilege.”

He thanked the organisers for hosting what he called a “beautiful celebration,” adding that standing among so many great and intelligent Africans filled him with pride and hope.

“This reminds us of something very important: Africa is now not tomorrow, not someday now. Let’s continue to rise together and support one another. One Africa. One Love,” he concluded.

Through his Rodney Strasser Foundation, the former midfielder continues to champion youth empowerment and football development across Africa, embodying his message of unity and progress.
