Salone Sends Two to African School Games: A Significant Milestone

Sierra Leone has sent two promising young athletes, Mabinty Kamara and John Prince Victorious, to the inaugural African School Games in Algiers, Algeria.
This significant participation, organized by the National Olympic Committee and Commonwealth Games Association of Sierra Leone (NOC/CGA-SLE), represents a vital step in the nation's commitment to developing youth sports.
The highly anticipated event, managed by the Algerian Olympic Committee under the auspices of the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA), is set to take place from July 23rd to August 5th, 2025.
Kamara and Victorious will compete in long and middle-distance athletics, highlighting Sierra Leone’s emerging talent on an international stage. NOC/CGA-SLE President, Mr. Prince Vandy Sualley, emphasized the symbolic importance of this delegation, underscoring the nation's dedication to nurturing future Olympians and Commonwealth athletes.
This initiative underscores Sierra Leone's proactive approach to fostering athletic excellence from the grassroots level.
