Sengeh Declares Eligibility for Presidency as He Nears 40

Chief Minister David Moinina Sengeh has publicly stated that he will become constitutionally eligible to contest for the presidency next year when he turns 40, while expressing strong appreciation for the mentorship of President Julius Maada Bio.

In a reflective message shared in Freetown, Sengeh described his leadership journey under President Bio as transformative, crediting the President’s guidance for his personal and professional development.

According to him, the mentorship has significantly shaped his leadership capacity, stating that he has become “a much better leader and problem solver” through his experience working closely with the President.

He further emphasized that his relationship with President Bio remains ongoing, noting: “We aren’t done yet.”
