Cricket Sierra Leone (CSL) has initiated a two-week Under-17 One Day Domestic (ODD) Cricket League, a crucial preparatory step for the nation's participation in this year's Under-17 Cricket Tournament in Ghana.
Hosted at the Kingtom Police Oval, the league's primary objective is to identify and select promising players to form Sierra Leone's squad for the upcoming tournament in Ghana.
The local competition, officially named the Joseph Kamanada One Day Domestic (ODD) Under-17 Boys Cricket League, features four teams, each honoring a distinguished retired cricketer.
This 28-match league is expected to provide ideal preparation for the continental event, which will gather seven nations: Cameroon, The Gambia, Ivory Coast, Mali, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, and host Ghana.
