Sierra Leonean Football Legends Harness Camaraderie to Inspire Young Athletes

Former football stars convened at the Sierra Leone Football Association Academy in Kingtom to share their knowledge and experiences with current players.


The event on Saturday 25th January 2025 was characterized by nostalgia and motivation, as veterans from the 1990s and 2000s imparted memories and valuable lessons to today's athletes.



Yusuf Sindeh, a former standout for Ports Authority, highlighted the significance of camaraderie and teamwork. He encouraged players to focus not only on personal development but also on setting positive examples for emerging talent.


Mohamed Fornah, a notable member of Sierra Leone's 2003 squad that competed in Finland, offered insights on the importance of discipline, dedication, and professionalism in achieving success at the highest levels.



Mohamed Kamara, CEO of Eyhor and known as P’doe, attended the occasion to celebrate. He expressed delight in seeing former players reunite and reflect on their careers, while also motivating the younger generation to strive for excellence.


This special event not only honored Sierra Leone's rich football history but also served as a powerful reminder for current players to continue pursuing greatness.



With the support of these experienced veterans, the future of Sierra Leonean football appears promising.
