SLFA and Orange Team Up for Football Development

The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has taken a major step toward advancing football in the country by engaging with Orange Sierra Leone to explore a strategic partnership.
SLFA President Babadi Kamara met on Thursday with Orange CEO Sekou Amadou Bah and Marketing Director Mamadou Bousso at the company’s headquarters in Hill Station, Freetown.
The high-level meeting focused on identifying areas of collaboration that will promote and support football across Sierra Leone, from grassroots programs to professional competitions.
Speaking at the meeting, CEO Sekou Amadou Bah reaffirmed Orange’s commitment to the sport, stating that “football is in the DNA of Orange.” He noted that the company has consistently invested in football wherever it operates globally and expressed readiness to support Sierra Leonean football through structured programs.
President Babadi Kamara presented his administration’s comprehensive strategic plan for football development, outlining initiatives for domestic leagues, youth development, and international competitions. He emphasized the importance of sustainable partnerships to drive the growth of football across all levels.
The discussions concluded on a positive note, with both parties expressing optimism about forging a mutually beneficial partnership aimed at advancing football development in Sierra Leone.
