SLFA Leadership Rallies Leone Stars Ahead of World Cup Qualifiers

The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) is in full preparation mode as the Leone Stars gear up for their crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers against Guinea-Bissau and Ethiopia in September.
SLFA President Babadi Kamara met with the national team's technical staff at the SLFA academy at Kigtom, led by Head Coach Mohamed Kallon, to finalize strategies and preparations.
President Kamara emphasized the critical nature of these upcoming matches, stating that these matches were critical steps toward their World Cup dream.
He added that the FA, through the government of Sierra Leone, was committed to providing the resources, motivation, and enabling environment necessary for success.
He was echoed by Vice President 1 and Head of Technical, Alie Badara Tarawalie, who reaffirmed the FA's dedication to fostering strong collaboration within the team.
Attempting to further enhance focus and preparation, President Kamara also offered the state-of-the-art Southern Arena in Bo City as the training camp for the Leone Stars.
The team is expected to converge there and begin official training on Wednesday, August 20th, 2025.
Coach Kallon expressed gratitude for the leadership's unwavering support, assuring that the technical staff will work tirelessly to deliver positive results for the nation.
The meetings concluded on a note of shared optimism, with all parties determined to make Sierra Leone proud on their journey to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
