SLFA Mourns Passing of Old Edwardians Midfielder Abrahamson Kaccu Kamara

The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has expressed deep sorrow following the death of promising young footballer Abrahamson Kaccu Kamara of Old Edwardians Football Club.


Abrahamson, who was widely regarded as one of Sierra Leone’s rising football talents, previously represented the country at U-17 level during the WAFU A CAF U-17 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers 2025 held in Mali, where he featured in all of Sierra Leone’s matches.


Known for his discipline, commitment, and passion for the game, the young midfielder earned respect within both the national team setup and his club, Old Edwardians FC, where he remained an important figure until his untimely illness.


In its statement, the SLFA described his passing as a painful loss not only to his club and teammates but also to the entire football community in Sierra Leone, noting that the country has lost a player with significant potential for the future.


On behalf of its President, Executive Committee, and the wider football fraternity, the Association extended heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, teammates, and all those affected by the tragic loss.
