Four officials of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) have successfully completed a high-level capacity-building programme organised by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) in Egypt.
The training, known as the CAF Match Commissioners Workshop, brought together participants from across the continent with the aim of strengthening match management, improving integrity, and enhancing organizational standards in African football.
The Sierra Leone delegation included Prince Kai Saquee, Emilia Kamara-Jengo, Mohamed Alphaka Conteh, and Yakoya Kamara. They joined other football administrators from across the continent in the professional development programme held under CAF’s technical framework.
The workshop focused on modern match coordination techniques, supervision standards, and best practices designed to improve the quality and credibility of football competitions across Africa.
Throughout the training, participants were exposed to practical sessions and knowledge-sharing engagements aimed at strengthening their capacity as match commissioners and enhancing their role in ensuring fair play and proper match administration.
The Sierra Leone Football Association welcomed the successful completion of the programme, congratulating the officials and expressing confidence that the experience gained will contribute to improving football governance and match management standards in Sierra Leone.
The Association further noted that continuous professional development remains a key priority in its efforts to strengthen the country’s football structures and align with international best practices.
