SLFA Partners with Schools for FIFA Arena Project

The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has finalized an agreement with Albert Academy and Bo School to implement the FIFA Arena Project across both educational institutions.
Signed at the SLFA Secretariat in Kingtom, Freetown, the initiative forms part of ongoing efforts by the football governing body to improve sporting infrastructure and foster the development of school football nationwide.
Speaking at the ceremony, SLFA President Babadi Kamara described the undertaking as a pilot project, with expectations to expand similar facilities to other schools in the future. He explained that the initiative operates under a counter-funding model between FIFA and Sierra Leone, wherein FIFA supplies the necessary materials and technical expertise, while the state handles sub-base construction.
Kamara emphasized that formal agreement signings are a mandatory requirement for the release of project materials and the commencement of facility construction.
Representatives from both institutions welcomed the development. Albert Academy Alumni President Zainab Attire Bangura and Bo School's Rev. Hassan Kainesie both expressed appreciation, highlighting the project's potential to nurture young football talent and significantly upgrade school sports facilities.
