In a decisive move to strengthen the foundations of domestic football, Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) President Babadi Kamara has announced a substantial financial support package of Le225,000 for every club participating in the Leone Rock Premier League. 

The initiative, aimed at easing the financial burden on the nation’s top-tier teams, marks a significant step forward in the administration's commitment to professionalizing the sport.

The announcement was unveiled during the prestigious Leone Rock Premier League Awards Ceremony, serving as a cornerstone of President Kamara’s vision for the upcoming season. 

By allocating these funds to each of the 16 member clubs, the SLFA seeks to provide a critical buffer for organizations navigating the increasingly complex economic landscape of professional football in Sierra Leone.

President Kamara emphasized that the funding is strategically intended to facilitate seamless pre-season preparations. Specifically, the capital is earmarked for logistical requirements and the enhancement of player welfare—areas often cited as primary challenges for clubs during the off-season transition. 

This intervention is expected to catalyze a more disciplined and organized approach to the campaign, allowing teams to focus on technical excellence rather than immediate fiscal constraints.
