Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) has settled a fine of One Hundred and Fifty Thousand Leones (NLe 150,000) imposed by the Political Parties Regulation Commission (PPRC) for a violation of the Political Parties Act, 2022.

The PPRC confirmed the payment in a press release issued on Thursday, December 4, 2025, stating that the funds were received from the SLPP leadership on the same day. The sanction stemmed from the conduct of the party’s Northern Region Public Relations Officer, Wusu Dadiddah Jalloh, who was found to have contravened Section 39(1)(d) of the Act on Monday, November 24, 2025.

The penalty was initially announced on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, following a review of the matter involving the party official.

Expressing its appreciation for the SLPP’s compliance, the Commission underscored the importance of adherence to the law, urging the party to ensure that all its members, supporters, and operatives continue to conduct themselves in accordance with the provisions of the Political Parties Act.
