Speaker Urges Opposition to Reevaluate Parliamentary Boycott Over Clerk's Role

ree

Speaker of the House of Parliament, Hon. Solomon Segepoh Thomas, has called upon the opposition leader, Hon. Abdul Kargbo, to reassess his party's decision to abstain from parliamentary proceedings.

This abstention is contingent upon the resignation of the current clerk, Hon. Paran Tarawally, from his administrative role or his withdrawal from participating in his political party's internal elections.

In response to Hon. Kargbo, the Speaker acknowledged receipt of the letter from the members of the All People's Congress party and stated that he is currently in discussions with his own party regarding this issue.

He committed to delivering a decision within a week and reiterated his belief that the APC should reconsider their position.
