The Southern Region Football Association (SRFA) has officially commenced a seven-day CAF Diploma D Coaching course at the Pastoral Center in Bo, aimed at enhancing the skills of local football coaches and strengthening grassroots football development.
SRFA Secretary Mr. Yayah Sesay expressed gratitude to the Executive Committee of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), led by Mr. Babadi Kamara, for facilitating the course and providing local coaches with this valuable learning opportunity.
Addressing the facilitators, who hail from Liberia, Mr. Sesay encouraged them to impart their knowledge fully to the attending coaches.
“Please, trainers, these are your students. Make sure you give them the best; we know you can do as you have promised,” he stated.
Mr. Sesay also urged the coaches to pay maximum attention throughout the course and to absorb the knowledge being shared, emphasizing that the lessons learned will directly contribute to the development of grassroots football in the region.
“Coaches, please be focused as you have invested in this course. The key objective is for you to, in turn, pass on this knowledge to the players on behalf of the SRFA and the Executive Committee of the SLFA. I now declare the program officially open,” Mr. Sesay concluded.
The course will run for seven days and is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen football coaching standards and youth player development across Sierra Leone.
