Sundehun Community Allocates Land For Police Post

In a proactive move toward community policing, stakeholders in Sundehun held a strategic security meeting on Sunday, July 26, 2026, aimed at strengthening the Community Safety Volunteer (CSV) operations.
The high-level engagement featured key security and community figures, including Local Unit Commander (LUC) CSP Emmanuel Kpulun, CRD Coordinator Sgt Mariama Bockarie, and Operations Officer Inspector Mohamed Conteh. Representing the community were APPC Chairman Mr. Jacob Musa Taluva, CSV Chairman Mr. Nyakeh Kpau, and Chief Musa Kamara.
Mr. Taluva opened the session by commending the police for their consistent support, while Mr. Kpau highlighted the logistical challenges facing volunteers on the ground. In response, CSP Kpulun emphasized that effective security relies on collaborative information sharing, particularly given the force’s limited personnel strength.
The meeting yielded tangible results for the community's safety infrastructure. Residents identified and secured a plot of land dedicated to the construction of a new police post.
To immediately enhance the effectiveness of local patrols, CSP Kpulun concluded the event by donating five raincoats to the CSV team, urging them to uphold human rights and operate strictly within the laws of Sierra Leone.
