The defendant, Amodu Junior Kamara, appeared before Magistrate Daboh on charges of Housebreaking and Larceny, pursuant to Section 26(1) of the Larceny Act 1916. 


The prosecution alleges that on February 15, 2026, the defendant unlawfully entered the residence of Mohamed Moseray at 28 Foyah Street, Kenema. 


During the incident, the defendant purportedly stole a power bank, two pairs of denim trousers, and two shirts. Additionally, a sum of Forty United States Dollars (USD 40.00), valued at approximately Nine Hundred and Seven New Leones (NLe 907.00), was reported missing. 


The total estimated value of the stolen property and currency is Two Thousand, Seven Hundred and Twenty-Seven New Leones (NLe 2,727.00).


No formal plea was entered during the initial proceedings. Consequently, the defendant has been remanded to the Sierra Leone Correctional Centre (SLCC) in Kenema. The matter has been committed to the High Court for trial.


The prosecution is being led by Sergeant Watta Bakarr and Inspector Alphan Samuel Musa of the Legal and Justice Support Department, Kenema Police Division.
