Tunis Accuses Yansaneh Over APC Court Case

Former All People’s Congress (APC) spokesperson Sidi Yahya Tunis has accused the party’s National Chairman, Ambassador Osman Foday Yansaneh, of allegedly instigating the latest court action involving the opposition party.

Speaking on Truth Media, Tunis criticised the APC’s leadership over its ongoing legal disputes and urged party leaders and members to address internal problems openly rather than allowing them to escalate into prolonged court battles.

Tunis alleged that the plaintiff, Suma, did not independently decide to take the matter to court, claiming that Yansaneh played a role in encouraging the legal action. He said resolving such internal issues was necessary to prevent the APC from continuing to struggle.

He also linked the current dispute to previous legal cases involving the APC, including matters involving Sheridan and Alfred, and expressed concern that unresolved internal disagreements were continuing to resurface.

Tunis called for the matter to be redirected to the Political Parties Regulation Commission (PPRC) and the APC’s elders, including Hon. IB Kargbo, Members of Parliament and other senior stakeholders, to find a political solution and restore stability within the party.

He argued that the current situation might have been avoided had the APC followed the position previously advanced by the PPRC, but acknowledged that the matter has now reached the courts.

However, Tunis’s allegation that Yansaneh personally instigated the court action has not been independently verified, and Yansaneh’s response to the specific allegation was not included in the remarks reviewed.

His comments come amid continuing legal disputes and internal tensions within the APC over its leadership and direction, with Tunis urging party elders and other stakeholders to work towards a political resolution to prevent further division.
