Two Remanded After Pleading Guilty to Theft of Tables in Freetown

Two accused persons, Sheriff Freeman Tiller, 22, and Ibrahim Kuyateh, 27, have been remanded at the male correctional facility in Freetown after pleading guilty to theft-related charges before Pademba Road Court No. 1.

The matter was heard by Magistrate Mustapha Brima Jah, where the defendants were arraigned on charges of conspiracy to commit a felony and larceny under the laws of Sierra Leone.

According to the prosecution, on Friday, 17 April 2026, at We Yone Street, Juba Hill, in the Western Area of Freetown, the two men allegedly conspired with other persons unknown to commit theft.

Count two stated that on the same date and at the same location, the defendants stole ten granite white plastic folding tables valued at Le20,000, said to be the property of Dr. Andrew Bamuse.

When the charges were read and explained in court, both accused persons pleaded guilty.

Following their plea, Magistrate Jah refused bail and ordered that they be remanded at the male correctional facility pending sentencing.

The case was adjourned to 8 May 2026 for sentencing.
