The first day's ceremony saw 2,751 students from the College of Medicine and Allied Health Sciences (COMAHS) and the Institute of Public Administration and Management (IPAM) receive their degrees. The congregation underscored the university’s commitment to cultivating skilled professionals across both scientific and social fields.

In his address on Day Two, Professor Lebbie candidly addressed the infrastructural and capacity challenges facing the institution, noting its limitations in fully accommodating the increasing demand for higher education in Sierra Leone. He emphasized the critical necessity for sustained investment in facilities, learning resources, and faculty development to ensure the provision of quality education for the student population.

He strategically advised the graduating cohort to pursue opportunities beyond conventional employment, advocating for the adoption of innovation, entrepreneurship, and job creation. Professor Lebbie stressed the highly competitive nature of the contemporary labour market, asserting that creativity, adaptability, and initiative are indispensable for long-term professional success. He concluded by reminding graduates that their acquired knowledge and skills are vital assets for driving social and economic development within Sierra Leone and globally.
