Abacha City End Season with Huge Win Despite Relegation Heartbreak

Abacha City ended their 2025/26 Leone Rock Premier League campaign with a dominant 5-0 victory over FC Kallon at the Approved School Field on Saturday, 18 July 2026, but the impressive result came too late to save them from relegation.

Abacha City started strongly and took the lead in the 11th minute through Delvin Davies, who gave his side an early advantage. FC Kallon attempted to respond, but Abacha’s defence remained solid and kept their opponents at bay.

After the break, Abacha City intensified their attack and produced a remarkable second-half performance. James Kargbo doubled the lead in the 65th minute before Emerson Amos added a third just a minute later.

Kargbo then completed his brace in the 68th minute to put the game beyond FC Kallon.

Despite efforts from FC Kallon to find a consolation goal, Abacha City’s defence remained resolute, securing their biggest league victory of the season.

However, the emphatic win could not change their fate, as Abacha City have been relegated to Division One after a difficult campaign.

The club’s final-day triumph provided a memorable farewell performance, but it was overshadowed by the disappointment of losing their Premier League status.
