The United States Embassy in Sierra Leone has announced on its official Facebook page that applicants who received an automated email today informing them that their visa appointment has been canceled should not worry.
The embassy explained that a number of visa appointment slots for next year have been canceled in order to reduce the wait time for applicants, and this has made appointment dates available for individuals whose appointments were canceled.
The embassy advises applicants to log in using the same system they used to originally schedule their appointment and select a new appointment date.
The embassy has assured applicants that rescheduling appointments is a quick process that does not require any additional paperwork or application fees.
