Wilberforce Strikers Secure Back-to-Back Player of the Month Awards

Wilberforce Strikers FC has demonstrated exceptional competitive form in the Leone Rock Premier League, securing back-to-back Player of the Month accolades. The club’s recent dominance is underscored by the individual excellence of its roster, with both offensive and defensive contributors receiving top league recognition for their performances throughout the spring campaign.

The streak began in April, when forward Randy M. George was designated as the league's standout performer. George’s offensive productivity was pivotal to the club’s tactical success, as he recorded two goals across three appearances. His impact was further validated by two Man of the Match awards, highlighting a high-efficiency month characterized by significant pace and clinical finishing.

In May, the honors transitioned to the defensive unit, with first-choice goalkeeper Francis Koroma earning the Player of the Month title. Koroma produced a statistically perfect defensive record, maintaining four clean sheets in four matches. In addition to his shot-stopping capabilities, Koroma contributed to the attack with one assist and matched George’s achievement by securing two Man of the Match awards. His leadership from the back has been a cornerstone of the Strikers’ defensive stability.
