APC Schedules Constituency 044 Election
The All People’s Congress (APC) has officially scheduled the outstanding election for Constituency 044 at the party’s Bombali Regional Office in Makeni.
According to a statement from the APC National Secretariat, the selection of the venue followed extensive consultations with the Independent Elections Management Committee (IEMC). The committee designated the regional office as a secure, orderly, and neutral location capable of ensuring a free and fair electoral process.
The IEMC also engaged directly with key stakeholders and contesting candidates, all of whom agreed to move forward with the poll in Makeni.
In light of the announcement, the National Secretariat directed all aspirants, delegates, party officials, and election monitors to gather at the designated venue on the scheduled date.
Party leadership emphasized that stringent measures have been put in place to prevent violence, intimidation, threats, or any disruptive behavior that could undermine the integrity of the vote.
“We particularly call upon all candidates and their supporters to exercise restraint and responsibility, and to ensure that the election proceeds peacefully and without interference,” the National Secretariat stated.
The party urged all participants to cooperate fully with security personnel and IEMC officials to guarantee a transparent and credible election on Wednesday, October 7, 2026.
